Jennifer Whitaker loves working behind the scenes at Kitten Sittin' of Delaware and Weather or Not Dog Walkers. She is fondly known as the “quiet creative force” who strategically manages all social media channels for Weather or Not (WoN), and the sister company, Kitten Sittin' of Delaware.
“I really enjoy bringing fun, engaging content to our followers on social media,” Jennifer says. “It’s a wonderful way to share stories about the organization, but more importantly about the pets, we care for through pet sitting and walking services.”
Jennifer has been a member of the Weather or Not pet services team for just over one year. One of her favorite posts to share with those who follow WoN’s social channels are the pet birthday announcements. "It’s a real joy to feature our special pets celebrating another year in a loving home.”
An accomplished lifestyle photographer with a thriving business of her own, Jennifer also has 15 years of experience working in the home pet services and pet sitting industry. When a back injury sidelined her from avid dog walking, she chose to combine her graphic design and photography background with her love of pets to focus on social media management for pet-related organizations.

"Image selection is integral to showing prospective and existing clients all about the inner workings of both businesses. I work closely with our owner, Lisa, on the social media plan. I look for images that uphold the values and integrity that goes into everything that the pet sitting teams do.
Another key aspect of managing social media goes beyond just posting about the company to "celebrating the wide range and unique qualities of the wonderful pets that we help care for throughout the day.”
Tiny, Mighty Dogs
Jennifer resides in Owensboro, Kentucky with her family--including four young children and one on the way! The family enjoys the outdoors, where Jennifer does much of her pet photography and spending time with her beloved dogs:
The puppy in the family is Roody; he loves to chase Jennifer’s youngest son around in anticipation of food that falls to the floor. “He loves to get dirty and play tug of war. He also likes to give chase to Luna and all four of my kids.”
Luna, pictured above, is a spitfire that will run, hop, and chase anything. She loves to play tug-of-war and watch TV. “Despite her size, she loves to ride on the tractor and she thinks she can go hunting just like a big ole' field dog.”
